Tony Beaber wins from the tail at Tornado Motor Speedway to wrap up the 2018 AJ’s Heavenly Pizza IDIOTS Series Championship!
After mechanical issues bit him while leading his heat race, Beaber was forced to start at the tail of the B main. He opted to take his fast qualifier’s provisional, so that started him 15th in the A main, with the championship on the line. Beaber was methodically able to work his way to the top 5 by halfway, with 2nd place contender Moe Wilson in tow. Beaber was able to catch pole sitter and quick qualifier Josh Haynes with about 15 to go, and after a 5 lap battle was able to clear him and set sail, followed my Moe Wilson, Clay Kirchenbauer, and B Main winner Dwight Stough. Beaber was able to outlast Wilson on 2 final restarts to get his first career win at Tornado Motor Speedway and wrap up the 2018 Aj’s Heavenly Pizza IDIOTS Series Championship.
